Wellness Through Exercise

Midterms and finals season is upon us (no reminder needed 😓). These next few weeks might be rough for a lot of us all around. From burnout to not seeing much of the outdoors, it might feel like a doozy, but we got this! This week’s topic of wellness is, you guessed it… exercise! We wanted to encourage you (and us) to get out there, because it’s one of the best things we can do to take care of ourselves at this time.

Although exercise can feel like a chore, let’s try to look at it as a tool to help us feel and study better! Research has proven exercise to be an effective natural tool by the way it affects the brain and regulation of the body’s internal systems (Physicians Postgraduate Press).

If you’re in Westwood, Sunset Rec and most other UCLA facilities are available to students with a Return to Rec membership and an appointment. So grab a friend and encourage each other this week to get some exercise ☺️ !
